A Family Dynamics reading takes two to four charts from your account and reads that household as one chart, then each of you in it, then pair by pair.
The short answer
A Family Dynamics reading takes two, three or four readings on your account, a parent and a child, two siblings, a whole household, and reads them together. First the house as one chart: who holds which center for everyone, which centers are open for the whole family, the channels that exist only together, who conditions whom through which gates, and for three or four people the Penta, the six roles a household carries and the ones it borrows. Then a section for each person about their place in this house, and for each child a section on raising that exact design. Then every pair, the household center by center, daily life, and a letter to your family. It is included once every person in it has a reading on your account, at any size from two to four; the individual readings are $99 each.
It is not a parenting style and not a verdict on anyone. Every claim in it is built from the gates in your charts, and the reading names the gate it is built on.

What changes
Put every chart on one bodygraph and some centers are held by one person alone. The only emotional definition in the house sets the wave everyone rides; the only defined Throat speaks for the family. The reading names each one, with the gates, and what happens when that person is tired or away.
Where a parent is defined and a child is open, the parent is conditioning the child through specific gates, every day, without saying a word. The reading names the centers and the gates, and then says what to do tonight for that exact child: the questions to ask a Sacral child, the time an emotional child needs, the invitation a Projector child is waiting for.
A parent and a child, two siblings, the two parents: each pair gets the four ways their channels meet, one section per channel they make together, and the age of the relationship, so a mother and her grown son are read as what they are now.
Some centers are open in everyone in the house. Nobody sets that tone, so school, work and friends do. The reading names those places and shows how to tell an outside pressure from a family one.

The length follows the household. Every person gets their own section, every child gets a raising section, and every pair gets its wiring, so a family of four reads considerably longer than a parent and a child. The Penta section is written for three or four people, because two people do not form one. Every reading closes with the letter and saves to your dashboard beside the individual readings.
Written for who you actually are
The reading knows who is whose parent, how old each of you is, and what each of you is to the others.
When you pick the people, you tick the parents. Everyone else is their child, two children are siblings, two parents are partners. A mother of sixty and her grown son are read as mother and son, not as two adults.
From the parents you ticked and how each person asked to be referred to, the reading knows that Tess is Linda’s daughter and Jesse’s sister, and says so.
The same birth date that calculates each chart gives the age. A scene is written for a nine-year-old, not for a child, and a gap between siblings is a number of years.
A child’s sections are written to you about them: their strategy in a parent’s words, their authority and how a parent gets in the way of it, each open center and who in the house fills it. Never to the child, and never a diagnosis.

There is nothing separate to buy. A Family Dynamics reading is built out of finished readings and included with them, so the path runs through the readings themselves.

How to read a household as one chart
A family is not a list of individual charts. Put them on one bodygraph and five things appear that no single chart shows. Read them in this order and the house stops being a mood and starts being a mechanism you can point at.
If only one of you has a defined Solar Plexus, that one wave is the emotional weather of the home. If only one has a defined Throat, that person speaks for the family whether they mean to or not. Defined and open centers.
When a gate active in one chart meets its partner gate in another, the two of you complete a channel neither has alone. In a house there can be several, and they switch off when the person carrying one end walks out the door. Gates and channels.
Where a parent is defined and a child is open, the parent’s definition lands in the child every day. It installs beliefs and it also gives the child a wisdom about that center. Naming the gates is what makes it something you can work with rather than something you feel guilty about.
A house with a Sacral child, an emotional parent and a Projector sibling has three different clocks. Most family arguments are one authority being forced onto another’s timing. How authority works.
Three to five people form what the system calls a Penta: a group that behaves like one organism with six roles to fill. We read it through the six channels of the G center and give each role a word: direction, the example, memory, the keys, rhythm, commitment. The reading says which roles your house carries, who carries them, and which nobody does, so a family that argues about direction every week can see that nobody in it carries direction, and stop taking it personally.
Your Family Dynamics reading does all five for your specific household, then keeps going for every person and every pair. This is the map, not the reading.
What a family reading is and is not
There is no ranking of good and bad households, and no chart diagnoses a child. What a household’s charts give you is mechanics: where the designs meet, what happens at each meeting point, and which of the recurring frictions were never personal.
A child who talks to be seen has an open Throat in a house where someone else’s is defined. A child who hurries has an open Root. The chart describes the pressure, never the child’s character.
Every open center in a child is filled by somebody. Naming who and through which gates is not an accusation; it is the difference between guessing and knowing what to change.
A mother and her adult son are read as mother and son, decades in, because the conditioning that happened at twelve still runs inside a single phone call. The scenes change with the ages; the relationship does not.
Nothing in a chart decides anything for a family. What it removes is the guessing. Once you can name what is happening between the designs in your house, most of the blame has nowhere left to sit.
What each type is like as a parent and as a child
Type is the fastest read on any household. It will not tell you everything, and it tells you more in five minutes than most of what gets written about parenting.
The Generator
A Generator parent carries the household without noticing: the meals, the drives, the long evenings. It works for as long as the yes was real, and a Generator who took on a schedule out of duty rather than response keeps showing up and slowly stops being present.
A Generator child needs to be asked, not told. Yes or no questions, and the sound before the words. Told what to do, this child goes flat and then frustrated; asked, the whole body answers, and the frustration goes with it.
Frustration at the family, when the real cause is energy spent on things the body never answered yes to.
The Manifesting Generator
A Manifesting Generator parent runs the house at a speed the rest of it may not share, skipping steps that other people needed. The gift is momentum; the cost is a family always being told, never asked.
A Manifesting Generator child will do it their own way and out of order, and the order was never the point. Ask, wait for the gut, then let them skip. Made to go slowly and in sequence, they get frustrated and then angry.

The Projector
A Projector parent sees the household more clearly than anyone in it, and is exhausted by trying to run it like a Generator. A house that recognizes the seeing and lets the energy come from elsewhere gets its best guide.
A Projector child needs invitations and recognition, not a schedule built for Generator siblings. Pushed to keep up, they end the day bitter and worn out; asked what they see, they light up.
Bitterness, from guiding a family that never asked and never noticed.
The Manifestor
A Manifestor parent initiates and expects the house to follow, and the house feels blindsided. The one practice that changes everything is informing: saying what is about to happen before it happens.
A Manifestor child is built to initiate and will be told to wait, sit and ask permission by a world that fears the impact. Teach them to inform, and ask them rather than telling them. Control produces the anger, and the anger is the signal.

The Reflector
A Reflector parent takes on the whole household and reflects it back, which makes them the truest reading of how the family is doing, and the easiest person in it to lose.
A Reflector child shows you the health of the home before anyone else feels it. Give them time, a full month for anything that matters, and choose the environment carefully, because they become the room they are in.
Disappointment, from a house that decided everything in an afternoon.
Every household is a mix, and the reading works from the exact charts rather than from type alone. For two partners on their own, the Compatibility reading is the one to read.
What is a Human Design Family Dynamics reading?
It takes two, three or four complete charts from your account and reads them as a household: which centers are defined when everyone is home, which are open for the whole house, who holds a center alone for everyone, the channels that exist only when you are together, and who conditions whom through which gates. Then it reads each person in the house, then every pair, then the household center by center, then daily life, and it closes with a letter to your family.
How much does it cost?
Nothing on its own. The Family Dynamics reading is included once every person in it has an individual reading on your account, at any size from two to four. Each individual reading is $99, one time. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Who is it for?
A parent and a child, two siblings, or a household of three or four. When you pick the people you say who the parents are; everyone else is their child, two children are siblings, two parents are partners. Partners on their own get the Compatibility reading instead.
How is it different from a Compatibility reading?
Compatibility is written for two partners and carries the intimacy, money and friendship material of a couple. Family Dynamics is written for family: nothing romantic, a household read as one chart, a section for each person about where they are conditioned in this house and where they condition the others, and for each child a section on raising that child by their design.
Does it know who is the parent and who is the child?
You tell it. When you pick the people, you tick the parents. The reading then knows who is whose mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister, and how old each person is to the year, and it uses those words rather than only names.
Does the reading know the children's ages?
Yes, from the birth date that calculates each chart. A five year old gets naptime and daycare drop-off; a twelve year old gets homework and bedtime; a teenager gets independence and the door that slams; a grown child gets holidays and the advice nobody asked for. A child under eighteen also gets a section written to the parents on raising that exact design.
What does "the household as one chart" mean?
Every person's activated gates are put on one bodygraph. Some centers are defined only when the family is together, some are open for everyone in the house, and some are held by one person alone for everybody. Where one person is defined and another is open, the defined one conditions the open one, and the reading names the gates it happens through.
What is the Family Penta?
In the system, three to five people who live or spend close time together form a Penta: a field with rules and roles of its own, read through the six channels of the G center. We give the six roles words, direction, the example, memory, the keys, rhythm, commitment, and the reading says which your household carries, who carries each and through which gates, and which nobody carries and has to be borrowed from outside. It is written for three or four people; two people do not form a Penta.
What is the tribal wiring?
Two circuits in the bodygraph belong to the tribe: the Defense circuit, which is nurture and bonding, and the Ego circuit, which is provision and the bargain. The reading shows which of those channels the household holds whole, which it makes only together, and which gates nobody carries, so you can see what the family's caretaking and its agreements actually run on.
Do the other people need their own accounts?
No. Every reading lives on your account under your email. You add each person from your dashboard with their birth date, time and city, and nothing is sent to them.
How many people can it read?
Two, three or four. A family reading is written pair by pair as well as for the whole house, and pairs grow faster than people, so four is the ceiling for now.
What do I need to start?
A reading for each person on your account. If you only have your own so far, add the others from your dashboard, then open the Family Dynamics tab, pick the people and tick the parents.
What if something does not match our charts?
If anything in your reading does not match your charts, we will correct it.
Is it written in Spanish?
Not yet. The individual reading is written in Spanish for a Spanish account; the Compatibility and Family Dynamics readings are written in English for now, and the dashboard says so when you pick.
