A Human Design gate is one of 64 numbered points in the bodygraph, taken from the hexagrams of the I Ching. Each gate sits in one of the nine centers and carries a specific theme, from Gate 1 Self-Expression in the G center to Gate 64 Confusion in the Head.
The gates activated in your chart come from where the planets sat at your birth, and again about three months earlier. When both gates of a pair are activated they form a channel and define the centers at each end. A gate on its own is called a hanging gate, and most of your gates are hanging, which is why certain people feel magnetic: they carry the other half.

What is a hanging gate?
A gate whose partner is not activated in your chart, so it does not complete a channel. Most of your gates are hanging. They can feel amplified around someone who carries the other half, which is one reason certain people feel magnetic.
